Protecting your lens against dust, sea spray, hand oils and more.
I would rather clean and wipe down a protective filter than having to continually wipe the front lens element.
I have performed tests on using a protective filter and there is no image quality degradation whatsoever. I use a Fujifilm GFX 50s medium format 51.4 megapixel camera with high quality precision optics and these filters perform brilliantly 10/10 quality assured.

My thoughts when fitted on the GFX
If you attach the eyecup to the standard EVF without the swivel adapter and you flip out the LCD screen in portrait orientation the eyecup will interfere and obstruct with the screen, otherwise it works just fine.
