Great value
Great blanks, always works on my recorder

I purchased this DVD recorder to transfer my home video tapes to DVD, since I didn't want them going bad on me. So far I have been able to do some recording on RW discs, but am having trouble with using -R discs. It will let me record on them, but when I try to play them back it tells me it is a bad disc or is not formatted. I have tried Maxell and Memorex, but I want to try Sony. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. The VCR part works great and the digital tuner is nice. I have yet to try any + discs to see how it works. I try to buy small Quanitys so if they don't work it's less loss. So far if I have to buy DVD-RW to record on I am happy. Not as easy to use as a VCR, but worth it.

perfectly as a replacement.
