This is the book
I've been teaching private guitar lessons for several years but have been struggling to find a method book that approaches the instrument in a logical and easy-to-understand way. A friend of mine showed me this book and I soon realized this was what I had been looking for all along. Very clear instructions, starts from the very basic but swiftly moves into more complicated literature, has a lot of good pieces for practice/performance, very nice duets, a good buy. I feel much more relaxed and effective as a guitar teacher knowing I have this resource to use. Highly recommended.

Wonderful story for all ages
I recently began teaching Elementary Music and immediately started looking for this story as it adapts very well to the music classroom. I enjoy all of Jan Brett's stories and the illustrations are just as great. If you are looking for a story that children will fall in love with and one you will enjoy as well this is definitely a winner.
