Another good shaver from Philips
Box was only slightly damaged. There was no sign of damage inside and all the advertised parts were 'present and correct'. The shaver works very well. I have used Philishavers for several decades - I think this is the best so far. I do find the switch is positioned just where I hold the shaver, so it occasionally gets switched off unintentionally. I can cope with that. I haven't used the trimmer accessory or the cleaning tank. As it is very easy to wash the shaver under a running tap I doubt it will be treated to the grand tank system very often. Charging is easy. I registered the shaver on line for an extra year's guarantee - a fairly straightforward process.

Surprised this tool is not the standard stripper!
Bought this one for a friend - I have had mine for years without any problems. Some wire strippers need a degree of skill to avoid cutting into the conductor(s). This one does not. Also it doesn't pull the wire - it grips the insulation with two jaws then removes the chosen length with two other jaws. This means that no stress is created in, say, a soldered joint further along the wire. You need to strip a few wires to appreciate how useful that is... I find it works best if held in my fist, rather than try to close it with fingers. The cutter at the other end works as you would expect. The spring return adds to its usefulness. For light gauge wire this is highly recommended.

Replacement remote for Humax
Dispatched promptly. Popped batteries in and it worked immediately - didn't have to pair with the Humax box. The buttons work ok - no need to squeeze repeatedly anymore, and I can see the key legends... Very good value.
