Best a Dell Dimension 8400 can get.
If you still have an old Dimension 8400 chugging along, you might as well upgrade to the single fastest CPU is can take. 3.8ghz on two logical cores doesn't even sound that bad. Sure the old architecture is outdated, but if you are still running an 8400, you know very well that it doesn't take the shiniest new parts, and the fastest, best performing chips to make a damn good, reliable computer. Show your clunky old Dell some love, and throw the Pentium 4 670 Processor in there.
Just, make sure to use some better thermal paste than the stuff they include, or else your CPU Fan will throw a fit. With good thermal paste (I recommend Arctic Mx-4) the CPU Fan will be a little louder, but the folks that say that it increased the fan's noise by a lot probably just used the low quality thermal paste that was included with the CPU. Just throw that stuff out.

This is not a Blu Ray Burner.
1 of 1 found this helpful Read the ads more carefully if you are looking for a BluRay burner drive. This drive only burns CD's and DVD's, but it can READ BluRay. And it does that very well.
I was shopping for a BluRay Burner and thought I found a good value in this one. My mistake. Still a great ODD (Optical Disc Drive) anyways. Besides, do I really *need* to burn BluRays? Well, yes, if I'm going to pirate everything, ever, in HD Quality. But that may or may not be my prerogative. You have your own motives. If playing BluRay on your desktop is your goal, this'll "BluRay" great. If you want to burn a super high capacity data, or HD Quality Movie disk, this, unfortunately, will not "R/W".

Perfect
5 Black, 5 Clear. They work for both USB 2.0 and USB 3.0, but they won't fit for an eSata port. They stay snug, but are easy enough to pull back out with your fingers. I got them to cover 2 case front USB ports that I don't have a motherboard header for, and they will work perfectly for the long haul.
If you are looking for a product that covers unused or unusable USB ports, look no further. This is the cheapest I could find, and they function absolutely perfectly.
Note, there is a tiny little nub on the front, which you pinch to pull the cover out. I cut these off on the two that are going to basically be permanent. You can still get them out with the nubs missing.
Also note that the front of the cover has a shallow impression that says "USB". They aren't completely flat on the front. I thought about dripping a little paint down into the lettering that would match my case's accent color, but i didn't actually try it.
Great product.
