Elvis.. What Happened?
6 of 6 found this helpful To me, this was an in-your-face unauthorized biography. It tells the story of the "King" up close and personal. Yes, it is harsh. And, yes, it is believable. It shows that Elvis was a human just like me and you. He made mistakes and paid dearly for them. Addicted to drugs? This book convinced me that he was. A workaholic? I believe that, too. It also shows his affection for his daughter, Lisa Marie. Did he spoil her unmercifully? He was the "King" so why shouldn't he?
This book shows the inside life of the greatest performer of all time. I feel sure he wouldn't want the world to know him this intimately but that's the price of fame. Everyone wants to know the real Elvis and this book will show you just that.

Elvis' Favorite Recipes
1 of 2 found this helpful This is a great book. Along with good ole' southern recipes, you get little side stories about Elvis and his meals. Sure, these recipes are not very health conscious but the food sure is good. I'm a southern girl, born and raised. Several of these dishes I've seen on Grandma's dining room table on Sundays after church. I was delighted to get this book as I am a big Elvis fan. Can you imagine my surprise when I learned that I was eating the same foods as the "King"? By far, my favorite is the peanut butter and 'nanner sandwich!
This book truly is a wonderful recipe book as well as a good read! There's also several color photos throughout for those that only enjoy looking at the pictures!
