Artsist bass strings

I use a Crown 600 and an ampeg preamp.I am quite happy with the Artist strings sound. I have been using the Artist series strings for several years now. They are a very lively string when new and give a good tone and highs are very pronounced. I usually buy 6 sets which last me about six months. The dearer string may last about six months also, however, I have new sounding strings 6 times over the period when the dearer strings are new once as the sound deteriorates slowly over the period. If I have an important gig its not expensive to change them either. I'll stay with them as long as the price remains competetive based on the shorter life span.
