Vintage Time-O-Lite Master M-72 Darkroom Timer with Enlarger & Safelight Outlets
    15 December 2021
Countdown timer is what I needed
I mix plaster using a vacuum mixer which I would mentally countdown because I could never find a counter that was loud enough to hear over the noise of the mixer and vac pump. I remembered the old darkroom timer (big dial) I had and decided to look into one of them but ran across this design which works like a charm. There's an outlet for "on" when the timer is running that shuts off after countdown and the other is off during countdown that turns on when time is reached. I needed the first one to shutdown both devices. There's a push button that starts the whole process and it reminds back to start all by itself. Nifty timer.
Excel Hobby Knife- K18 Grip On Knife #11 Blade Various Colors
    17 March 2017
The Best #11 blade holder ever
I've used a bunch of #11 blade holders before, but this is hands down the best. Reason; the draw bar for tightening down on the blade. Unlike most designs that rely on you turning a knurled sleeve that squeezes down the collet onto the blade, these use a drawbar that pulls the collet into a tapered portion of the body, which is by far a better and safer method than the other older design. Drawbars are used on machine tools like milling machines and lathes to close collets, for a reason. The cushion body makes it easy to hold and work with for long periods of time and the knob that you use to tighten the collet is hex shaped that prevents the knife from rolling off the edge of your bench and into your foot. Nice safety feature there. :) With all these neat features and for that price, you can't go wrong. Highly recommend.
Evolution Power Tools 14 in. Multi-Purpose Chop Saw

    Best metal cutting saw available
THIS! I usually don't do reviews on tools and this is not so much a review as much as a thumbs up for this piece of equipment. I needed to cut a bunch of square tubing for a shop project I was working on and really didn't want to have to hand cut each piece by hand, so I started looking for an abrasive chop saw. I remember seeing some guy on Youtube using a chop-saw that had a toothed blade that literally ate through the metal stock being cut. Having worked in the metal working industry I was a bit wary of putting a cold saw blade on an abrasive saw and began doing some research on this super saw. Come to find out the blade cannot be used with just any saw and is matched speed-wise with the Evolution's Rage2 saw, which is considerably slower than a typical abrasive saw, but faster than a cold saw. I watched a few videos on Youtube and was pretty much sold on this rig, but was still a bit apprehensive and wondering if I'd get buyers remorse after using it. I decided to take the plunge and purchase one. This is one purchase I have not regretted. As true to the statements of the reviews this thing is a beast. It cuts through steel like butter...and fast. And, there is no abrasive dust to breath in, which is real nice. And, the cut piece is cool to the touch right after cutting. Try that with a freshly cut part out of an abrasive saw. You'll iron your fingers. Now, most of ya'll won't need anything like this, but I do know a few who do like to or need to Seriously, this is a bad MOFO at a very reasonable price. Russ
