Reliable Stereo Ins and Outs with a Headphone Amp
Being new to Eurorack, I just wanted a simple no frills stereo output with a headphone amp, and this module fit the bill with a relatively easy price. Construction seems durable. The jacks are secure and clean. The pots and knobs rotate smoothly. The audio is sufficiently clean. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a basic audio output solution.

Excellent ribbon mic, but know what you are buying
I purchased this microphone without much prior knowledge about using ribbon microphones. I quickly learned 2 important things about them. First, they are very quiet and need a preamp boost of about 70 db or more to compete with a condenser mic. I don't have a preamp with that much boost, so I purchased a Cloudlifter Z for another $300. This did the trick, and the microphone sounds perfect on my voice (baritone). This is now my go-to setup for my vocals. Secondly, I learned that ribbon mics are very sensitive to vibration and air. I found the accompanying SM1 Shockmount for about $60, and I already had a windscreen. So this microphone ended costing me somewhere around $700, which is not cheap if you end not being pleased with the sound. Fortunately for me I am very pleased.

Timeless Classic Film - Needs a better Xfer & Pkg
1 of 1 found this helpful Nothing I can say about this magical historic film that hasn't been said. It is required viewing for anyone who loves the work of Terry Gilliam, Hayao Miyazaki, or Jeunet & Caro. The animations are gorgeously antique and phantasmagoric.
I am certainly grateful to Movies Unlimited for being the only distributor I can find for this film. I just wish that a company like Criterion would give this film the full package treatment it truly deserves. I understand why Movies Unlimited do low-budget packaging for their films. I imagine that there isn't a huge demand for these old movies. But my particular copy arrived in the mail with its jewel case completely smashed into fragments. Luckily, the DVD was fine and playable. I didn't bother returning it, since I had plenty of sturdier unused jewel cases around to replace it. But you get my point.
I just wish more people would see the value of this film, thus instigating a better quality transfer and a deluxe repackaging. This film deserves it.
