Not a good purchase idea per say.
This unit is way to heavy to lift safely.. It was sold as a kit with an Auger which is good and works well at the moment.
My posts are 3" × 6". The rammer was bought with the Auger so a hole can be drilled to ease the ramming of a bigger posr, as suggested by the sale blurb.
The problem lies in the fact that there is no adapter for larger posts, consequently the unit dances of the top of larger posts.
This is not made clear in the description when the pre- auger suggestion is made for larger posts.
For now the Mech.Rammer is useless for the job it was purchased for.
