2D rather than 3D. Not as great as I'd hoped
Good value plate to replace a Chinese tort one that I already had on my bass. I didn't like that one because it was simply a 2D photo of tort on top of 3 ply plastic.
From the description and photo I had assumed that this 4ply with the top ply being described as 'celluloid' would be properly 3D tort effect but instead it seems to be still a 2D photo or effect covered with a clear film of plastic.
So it still doesn't look like a genuine tort guard but does have its 2D image magnified a bit by that top clear layer so it looks a bit better than my previous one. I'm STILL looking for a good one though. At least it came with TWENTY FIVE screws!

This appears to be too small and the wrong shape.
We needed this for theatrical use so realised that blending with makeup would be necessary. We weren't expecting the hair beneath to be invisible till this was done, so this was not our problem.
The difficulty came in the fact that, just as when you try and wear a bobble hat that is too small it will rise up your head again. Even when it was pulled down as tight as it would go there were terrible ridges of baggy rubber across the top. Let go of the sides and up it would rise like a loaf in the oven.
I tried it, my smallish 15 year old son tried it and we just could not ever make it flatten over the head. We never got round to spirit gum to stick it down as it was never neat enough to do so. We even tried cutting at it so get past the tightest section but to no avail.
It is now a scissored latex mess. Have had to buy something else instead. Disappointing.

Bigger than 10mm?
Good solid heavy metal bushings. BUT even after drilling with a 10mm drill there's still a good bit of widening to do to get them to fit.
