Shimano Di2 ST-R785 BR-R785 Electronic 2x11S Shifters & Hydraulic Disc Brakes

amazing value for what was shimano's premium offering a few years ago.

Upgraded from mechanical shift, mechanical brake to these electronic shift, hydraulic brake levers and calipers. Paired with XT or XTR Di2 derailleur allows super wide ratio cassette on my 1x11 cyclocross bike Shift buttons feel different to use compared to mechanical shifting, more like clicking a mouse, but easy to get used to and can be customised with e-tube software. Lots of reviews of these hydraulic brakes talk about excessive lever travel- and even when it is well bled, it still pulls nearly 50% of the travel before good engagement, after that braking is fantastic, but lever travel is initially disconcerting and can cause your fingers to get squished between handlebar and lever on hard braking.
