Best in class tripod!
More stable than most regular tripods and more compact than any other travel tripod I have indeed (and I have owned a few), this one really is the bee's knees. It's only negative is that it isn't stupidly cheap, but then quality never is. When you consider it can replace your travel pod and a medium sized one put together, the value equation improves substantially. If you value compactness and stability, this is the tripod to get. If weight is important too, then get the CF version. If the cost is a deal-breaker, I am sure the aluminium one will be just fine.
