Quality engine with plenty of grunt
This was a replacement engine for a B&S 28D707 on a Cox 11.5HP mower. Fitted perfectly except that I had to cut a piece out of the hood to allow for the new engine's petrol tank lid.
The engine is a huge improvement over the old.Very happy with it.
The wiring is as follows:
- connector with a Red and a Black wire:
-> Red is Alternator positive DC
-> Black is Alternator positive AC (lights)
- connector with a Grey and a Black wire:
-> Grey is carburettor solenoid (needs 12v in run and start)
-> Black is Magneto kill (short to -ve/Ground to kill the engine)

Worthwhile replacing once every few years.
Easy to fit - one screw.
