The Pocket Interpreter Chinese
I actually came across this book while I was studying abroad in China in 1998. It actually was a purchase of necessity , I had brought along a Berlitz Mandarin Chinese phrasebook with me to China and while I was there I had lost my Berlitz Chinese phrasebook while out with some friends.
Naturally I needed a new Phrasebook to help me out with my communications needs. I actually came across this book by accident while browsing a local bookstore, with a very small English language section, and found this book.
Small and thin enough to take anywhere it offers quick and straight to the point phrases of survival chinese that I found helpful. Of course the section that I found the most helpful was the Dictionary section toward the back. In this secton I found a host of english words followed by the Pinyin pronounciation with the Chinese characters.
This was invaluable to me since I was studying Chinese at the time and had memorized some of the basic sentence structure. Someitmes all I was missing was a particular word that would allow me to be understood as to what I was asking for.
One cannot go wrong with this book. If you plan a trip to China for vacation or study, this book will be a important reference to you. Trust me, Chinese is a little hard at first , but once you get some experience and start to get the basics, you will find, as I did, that this book will show it's value.

Midway arcade treasures
This was a compliation of old school arcade games back in the days! I found a lot of games on this disc that I played when I was a child. It brought back a lot of memories for me, playing in an old school arcade, Arcades that don't really exist anymore.
Younger players probably woudn't appreciate the games offered, considering the variety of choice they have now, but the forerunners of todays games came from arcade classics like these. I can appreciate what the cd has because I played the games in the arcade back in the days.
Granted , the graphics aren't as good as what we have on the current systems, but for those of us that grew up on these , It's a reminder of where we and classic arcade games came from.
