The New Cabbage Soup Diet
1 of 1 found this helpful I am a fan of this diet because it works so well. This book explains the diet very clearly. Margaret Danbrot lists exactly what to eat and how and when to purchase the foods.
There is no calorie counting or weighing portions. It is a healthful plan that emphasizes fruit and vegetables. It is not boring because each day is different.
The diet does eliminate all junk foods and is pretty stoic but you only follow it for a week at a time and you're never hungry.
Danbrot gives you a pep talk each day and helps provide motivation and perspective.
The only comment I have about this edition that is negative is that it seems like the book was made larger by including recipes that, in some cases, do not follow the 7 day plan. Did she add recipes to increase the price of the book?
I haven't tried them so I am not in a position to judge the quality of the recipes.

A Super Sleeper!
This is a timeless, charming film. It's very funny, probably the best of the productions based on a Damon Runyon story.
The casting is great. Sara Stimson is a lovable, natural child: where did she go?
I've watched it many times and it is always entertaing.

A "Thomas" you can sit through! Really
We, who get to watch DVD's with our favorite tiny friends, have learned to tune out the grating and tedious sounds that usually offend our senses.
Many of the Thomas tales involve mean-spirited, obnoxious characters in superficial situations that make us wonder when/if the story is going to start.
This DVD has the advantages of being narrated by George Carlin and having several appealing songs. The actors are the usual gang and the plots are about right for a 3 year old but this is pleasant and sweet and you will be okay with it when your young companion asks to watch it again.
This is my 2 year old grandson's favorite and when his videotape stopped working we had to replace it and add a couple of the DVD- one for home and one for here.
