Keeping the neighbors out
2 of 2 found this helpful We had a lot of trouble stopping the neighbors cat from eating our cats food. Our cat has really bad eyesight and can't use a cat flap. he bumps into everything so getting him to push against a cat flap wont happen. it has to be held open permanently.
I was really worried the noise from this device would spook him. We used it for a week with it in the open position before programming it to his chip (really easy to do). Once he was use to getting to his food from the front and putting his head under the hoop we turned it on. A bit of a jump at first with the noise but once it stopped he moved back in. Bingo. He's happy we are happy and the neighbors cat is loosing weight.
An added advantage is the cat food stays fresher and so it last longer. I'm sure we will save the purchase price in pet food. (eventually)
Now I want them to invent a cat door that actually opens and not just unlocks
