Behmor 2000 AB Plus
3 of 3 found this helpful The Behmor 2000 AB Plus seems to be very well made and well worth its cost. It is a little difficult to clean up. The great thing is that it can roast a pound of coffee at one time. The metal drum does have some sharp wire where it is easy to get cut. The company needs to do something about that. The chaff collector could be designed a little better. About 20% of the chaff ends up in the roasting area. I use a small Dyson vacuum to clean up which works fine in my garage, but it would be really messy in a kitchen area. I’m sure there are better roasting instructions somewhere, but I’m not entirely clear what I’m doing. I basically listen for first crack and once things start popping like crazy, I then hit the C button, add time, reduce the temp, and increase the drum speed. I avoid getting into 2nd crack. The roast using Coasta Rica beans or Guatemala seems to come out fine. It seems to be more art than science for me at this point and trial and error. But, I’m pleased. I have been using a Nestco Pro for several years so I’m not new to roasting. I’m sure I’ll get better.

This is a good brush handle and works great. I've had about 5 or 6 of these between my wife and me. The price was great.

I bought the thing a couple about 6 weeks ago and have not gotten it to work yet. I'm going to have to spend some more time studying how to set it up or call consumer support. I can't say much yet. My first attempt to set it up was a failure. I knew then that I'd need to commit a couple of hours to do it. Hopefully, I'll be able to do that in a couple of days.
