    Alpine CDA-9887 head unit review
This head unit offers excellent control over all if not most music parameters. You'll have to get used to the functions and getting to them, its not as easy as lets say a Pioneer head unit. The faceplate is a tad more difficult to put back on when compared to other brand head units, just something that takes some time getting used to. Signal, and sound processing is much better then that of my previous Pioneer DEh-2000MP head unit, thanks to Alpines better materials and higher voltage pre-outs in the back (2V compared to 4V). As a result mids and highs come out much cleaner, sharper and with less echo. Being able to correct each speaker for time delays allow for any position in the car to be tailored to feel like its in the center of the music. An excellent feature that can be done manually by inputing distances from ones ears to each speaker or by using Alpines Imprint microphone and software to calibrate based on its position in the vehicle accounting for surface materials, echos, reflection and any other phenomenom that one can conceave to alter sound reproduction and delivery. Overall a great head unit, for a great price if around $200 or less.
