works well when the batteries are not running out.
2 of 2 found this helpful this product is advertised as being able to be used with normal batteries, this is not the case normally high-quality batteries last for about 30 minutes I got caught out on my first hike, I tried two other different brands of standard batteries but still the same problem I have since bought a set of Panasonic rechargeable batteries which seem to last for about 4-5 hours.
I think it would be prudent to advise the consumer of this problem as this device is one that people rely on when going out on a hike and can easily lead someone into a dangerous situation if you go off the manufacturer's specifications.

EASY TO INSTALL BUT COVER QUITE CHEAP QUALITY
Quite flimsy I expected the cover to be better quality.
