Is Fel-pro really the best???

I have purchased several Fel-pro gasket items over time and generally they seems to be of a good standard, as well we are told all over the place that Fel-pro is the best. Well, I am starting to wonder because I had a different and expensive Fel-pro gasket that basically after following the install instruction had what I would describe as a major failure (oil leak from oil pan), I emailed their Tech Support and you know what its been over 2 weeks now and no reply at all not even confirmation that they received my email and were dealing with it. I am starting to think that they are all smoke and mirrors... So to Fel-pro thanks for nothing.
