Toshiba HD-XA1 DVD Player

I love this player! yes the technology didn't go in the direction Toshiba hoped but it plays regular movies flawlessly. To be able to buy a player that sold for $800 3 years ago for $62.00 today doesn't happen in many realms. The new standard players available at this time are very low quality. The disks freeze or are unreadable and yet this tank plays everything I throw at it. The picture is incredible using the component outputs. The only drawback is the slow startup time, be patient, and the fact that it converts the digital audio output to DTS automatically regardless of the encoding on the disk.The few hd-dvd's I have found and are able to play have worked beautifully and most have been available for 99 cents. it is very classy and expensive looking. I love it!

Best all around knife ever

Bought a Fiskars filet knife with serrated edge 25 years ago and it worked better than any other knife we had. Tried to find another since the Fiskars has finally gotten dull. Thought we might try this since it looked similar except for the ugly yellow handle. Works great on meat, cheese, and even bread. Bought a second as a backup since the first one works so good.
