    Getting Desperate: Round Two
Suicide, Murder, Blackmail, Adultery, and stolen babies. That is SO Season One! Season Two raises the stakes as Wisteria Lane continues to play the peaceful and beautiful backdrop to the complicated lives of these four gorgeous and delicious 'super' women. After the death of her husband Rex, Bree goes through a difficult adjustment period involving an addiction to alcohol, an obsessive and manipulative pharmacist boyfriend who can 'fix' anything with the right pills, and her vengeful son, Andrew, who holds her responsible for his unhappiness. Meanwhile, Gabrielle has Carlos being in jail to think about, while they both are getting downright desperate to have a baby. Lynette returns to her first love, the advertising world, and is suddenly caught up in the delicate balancing act of handling office drama while giving her family the attention they deserve. To complicate the potion, Susan and Mike are swept up into their on again, off again relationship, and Zach being Mike's son only complicates the situation. To add to Susan's troubles, her ex Karl comes back into the picture and gets tangled up with her rival Edie. Beloved Mary Alice's secret is out of the bag whether she wanted it or not, but she continues as the omnipresent narrator who ties all the comlicated storylines together, offering insights into the lives of the characters and life in general. Wisteria Lane also welcomes some new neighbors, the Applewhites, who carry some dark secrets of their own. While the housewives all have their own dramas to worry about, they all stop and wonder what are those noises coming from the Applewhite basement.... Obviously, I loved this dvd set. I would recommend buying it to everyone, especially for the prices you can find on Ebay. My only complaint is comparing the bonus features from Season Two to the features that were on the Season One disc set, I had heard they were not as extensive or as in depth as the first season, and this turned out to be true, there are not as many deleted scenes, and there is not as much backstage commentary offered on the Season two disc, but what is there is still good and should be enjoyed. I hope my comments helped you make your decision, and that you enjoy this disc set as much as I did!
