A classic indy album
Still one of the best albums of the period. If your in to the late 70's post punk period alternative music scene then this must rate as one of those must own albums for the collection.

Tear off the corporate blinkers.
This astounding book has a look at one of the most invasive retail giants to sprawl it's tendrils across one nation while changing the way suppliers worked transported, packaged and at the behest of Wal-Nart priced their goods. As our culture outside of the home becomes in effect a corporate monoculture as large corporations slowly consume all around them this book reinforces why we must shop local use local suppliers and businesses if we want to enjoy the benefits of real consumer choice, jobs not to mention real variety in our high streets not just the samw five brand name shops in every high st. Unless unless of corse you prefer to see boarded up shop fronts, check cashing stores or two dollar shops. One of the few options we have left as consumers is to use the power of the wallet. We must break this habit of "it has to be the cheapest" That habit in the long term invariably costs us more in the long run as cheap products break, end up in lndfill unnecessarily polluting land we will desperately need in the future to feed our ever increasing planets population. If we buy cheap and import enmasse then jobs are exported at an even faster rate. With exported jobes comes exported hope, dreams and a vision of a better future as all around us decays dragging whole communities in to an never ending cycle of welfare dependance, crime, poor education all feed with that weekly hit of cheap goods on sale at the big box store. This book will take you through that journey, which I hope by the end of it will ensure you walk away from big brown box retailers and go back to community retail but more importantly helping to keep your small town, city, area alive and vibrant for other generations or visitors to enjoy. Unless you really emjoy the ambience of endless aisles lit by soul-less flourescent tubes. Is that the future you want for your children?
