Shot with Marty!
Went to see Marty Stuart in Dublin Feb 2011. I was bowled over by everything that evening - the music, the sound, the musicianship of the band and the sincerity of Marty Stuart himself. He and the band spent an hour and a half afterwards making sure everyone got whatever they were after - photos, autographs or just the chance to shake his hand.My friend even got him to sign his B-Bender Tele! If we ever needed someone to take the baton from Johnny Cash and run with it to promote everything that is good in country music today, then he is the man!
I had a few of his CDs, but since returning, I have bought a lot more! Add to that, this book and another of his photo/journals - Pilgrims,Sinners,Saints, and Prophets - and I have to say that the books are even better than the CDs! In them we get to have a peek at life in country music through Marty stuart's eyes. The photos are not of the greatest quality, but they more than make up for that in their soul - snapshots from north south east and west and beyond! If you are wondering whether to buy or not - don't hesitate - send for it today. If you don't like it give me a call and I may even buy it from you!!
