Excellent Product/Easy Installation

This is my second Honeywell WiFi thermostat. I knew in advance that it required a dedicated 5th power wire so I was prepared for pulling one if required. Luckily I found that there was a spare blue wire which I could use. The system powered right up and went through the WiFI and system setup screens without any issues. Since the unit was used, I found that it was previously registered with Honeywell and needed to be unregistered by either the previous owner or Honeywell support. It took a while on hold with Honeywell but they took care of it for me. The unit was installed in a farmhouse a group of us use for hunting purposes in a northern climate. We need to know if the heat or power goes out to avoid pipes from freezing. So far it has been working perfectly over a cellular hot spot. I really like the IOS application software. The only complaint is that I wish vacation mode would work remotely. Currently it has to be setup and turned off locally. As such our normal schedule is similar temp settings to vacation mode and we turn the temp up temporarily while using the property.

Perfect for my needs

The product is well made and the size is perfect for my needs. As others have posted, the pump is a little noisy and might not hold up for many years.
