Excellent replacement part for a torn pcv (cvv) diaphragm in valve cover!
Replaced it on a 2008 BMW 328i 3.0 engine, you have to reuse your old spring beneath it, slowly break away top of old one and then remove side ring that is still glued to valve cover from old one, clean up valve cover top edge and check the fit, if everything is good I mixed up a little 2 part epoxy (5 minute set) and applied it around top outside edge of valve cover and installed spring and new pcv diaphragm cover and let epoxy set up. No more whistle, high pitch squeal, large internal vacuum leak in crankcase. Engine runs as should. No need to buy a new valve cover if you are handy at doing minor repairs and take your time. Do not try to pry old one off you can crack your valve cover, slowly remove old one in pieces as they are glued on from factory.
