brittle at max temp
The 18gauge nichrome I usually buy is out of stock so I went with this one here, it ended up being almost twice as thick as the other 18guage nichrome I buy, I gave it a shot and heated it up to 2100F and it became brittle and there was a coating that all flaked off and then the core would snap very easy. Im not sure if this is just a different nichrome wire but it definitely didn't behave the same way.
