Half the cost with same reliability
All other alternators from the usual parts stores are twice the price. I hate to go around the local businesses but if you need to save money ebay is where you go. I did buy one of these for this 2002 Lancer that was defective but bought another, same brand and type, and it's performing well so far. Can't ask for anything more.

Affordable and effective
After checking to make sure the heater element had not corroded to the point of shorting before I plugged this in to the house 120v outlet after 170+K miles I was happy to find out how well this works on cold days. So far we've only got down to 27 but having a cord on the block heater is something I consider indispensable now that the truck is this far along even with fresh oil in the crankcase. As long as vibration doesn't wear the wires bare while at the ranch this should give long and useful service. Be sure and clean the threads on the block heater itself very well to get the keeper ring to screw on properly.
