Beware of narrow adapters (like this one)
3 of 3 found this helpful If you have some Canon FD lenses that have a large flange distance (distance from the actual lens glass to the outer edge of the mount) at the back, do NOT purchase these cheap adapters. They will not allow focus to infinity, at least in my configuration. I have a DSLR with a Super 16 sensor, and with some FD lenses whos flange distance is very long, they will lose focus-to-infinity. I proved my theory by physically moving the lens farther from the sensor by hand. Suddenly, the image became sharp in focus. I was disappointed, but it wasn't the product's fault. It was mine for not doing more research. The proper adapters for lenses with a longer flange distance required are ones that have a longer depth between the lens and camera (Basically, a thicker adapter). They will cost a bit more, but you will get proper focus!

For the price? Cannot go wrong. At all.
This is a great little stand for the person trying to save some money. Or perhaps someone who doesn't really use their mic all the time, but would like to have it handy for the occasional skype call/recording session, etc. It is still holding up great on my desk, the tensioner arms and springs are very strong and the arms stay exactly where you put them. The only problem I had was that my desk was too thick for the clamp to mount, so I had to remove the silver round protector right above the screw (which is supposed to be there to prevent damage/scratches to your furniture) to be able to fit the clamp on. Wasn't a problem. Also, this stand features standard mounts for all microphone mounts from what I see. I was afraid my vibration mount would not be able to screw in, and it did perfectly! I can't say anything else about this stand. Amazing stand for light use in a home or small studio.

A reasonable price for 8 channels
Hosa once had a reputation for bad quality interconnects on their cables, specifically their quarter-inch interconnects where the tip would break and get stuck inside of a 1/4" jack. This is not the case anymore.
Hosa has obviously done some homework since then, and now they're producing some quality cables for the price. Solid metal housings instead of their foldy rubberized stuff of the past. The interconnects feel solid, and SMOOTH. I feel that I could plug and unplug multiple times and cause no stress to the jacks. Hosa definitely redesigned their connectors for quality now. Because of this, I see no reason to spend more if I get exactly what I need for a good price.
Highly recommended.
