Not suited for the purposes is advertised for.
1 of 1 found this helpful ( 1 ) The clasper arms should be made of Aluminium , the plastic one are not sturdy enough.
( 2 ) The clasper requires the user to have a constant firm grip on the handle after selecting the
object they want to 'grasp', this is a big ask for someone in a wheel chair or a very elderly
person, and if the object is in an awkward spot or position it is not that easy to reach for even
an able bodied person. I did not find it easy to use.
( 3 )There should be a stronger spring and some kind of racket mechanism to ensure the object stays within the claspers once the handle is squizzed. I ended up using 'Blu Tack' to hold the object in place and at the same time keep the arms from opening up accidently.
( 4 )The only two good things about it where : the length of the extension pole was good, all other
reaching poles I came on e bay where much too short ; and the second good feature was that the claspers could be rotated 90 degrees although the claspers sometimes slipped out of position.
( 5 ) In its present form I would not recommend the unit to a friend and certainly not to an elderly person or anyone who might be physically challenged.
( 6 )There is certainly a great need for such a device on the market, hopefully someday a company will build one that is truly sturdy but light, and with suitable features that make it practical and safe to use.
I would be happy to take part in any follow up survey.
Yours Sincerely, David
