You can find authentic bank rolls
Hunting through old bank rolls can be a fun hobby. The great thing about purchasing bank rolls are the possibilities of finding that key-date coin to add to your collection or an uncirculated gem. However, stay away from people who fill their own rolls. You must look at their "Feedback Comments" before you purchase old bank rolls, also known as OBW's, from them. They fill their own rolls to look like OBW's. They even use old paper to add to its authentic look. They usually put in good decoy coins on the ends to entice the unsuspecting buyer, but the inside of the roll can be common dates. Some of these people have made thousands of dollars on the sale of just one of these rolls. Many people looking for that key-date or uncirculated gem get caught up in a bidding war with other buyers. Then everybody looses except the originator, who than uses a small portion of the money to purchase new decoy coins for their next unauthentic roll.
