Great Product for the Money
3 of 3 found this helpful Just like it says, great product for the money. The product arrived ahead of schedule by several days, and the packaging appeared to be in perfect condition. Opening the box and first inspection revealed a nice looking, well made, sturdy product. Installation was a breeze, if you have at least a basic sense of mechanical inclination. It took me about 20 minutes for the first door, and 10 for second. The additional 10 was more because of my own mistake and oversight. Installation is also where the product loses a star. The nuts that come with the product have a much smaller retaining washer built onto the nut than the factory originals are. Well installing one of the very first nuts, the washer started to pull through the interior sheet metal. I simply switched it out and used the factory original washer/nut combo, for a much more secure installation. On initial test drive the flat top mirror does show some very minor vibration, but nothing that is truly inconvenient. The convex mirrors appear to be Rock Solid, and I now have zero blindspots around my pickup for everyday driving. Telescoping the mirrors out and pulling my 32 foot camper, is much safer, due to the fact that I can see parallel down side of the camper to the rear, seeing all traffic that is coming up behind me. I was also pleasantly surprised to find that the integrated turn signal works with my pickup, since I did not have that option on the mirrors from the factory. All in all they appear to be very good quality, and I am hoping for years of continued good service.
