A solid ending to a long-running story
Plenty of people bemoaned Sanderson taking up the torch for Robert Jordan's the Wheel of Time. At the same time, it was still welcome so that the story could be finished. What we got was a great show of force: as the third in the Sanderson Wheel of Times, this definitely capped off the rising sense of comfort and authority he garnered, telling this story in his own voice. The payoff? The last battle. It's a strong ending that doesn't pull punches or set you up for disappointment. It's well-worth the read, and does due diligence to the long-term fans.
As for the audio book . . . the readers are great and listening to this series is a great way to follow the action.
