Works with any PCI_E.
I have a Dell Optiplex 760. It only has the 1x Pci_e and the PCI_E x16. This card even though has just the small two-part tabs, plugs right into the long PCI_E x16. I plugged in a Samsung 951 M.2 SSD and it works awesome. This is the card to use! It works great with the older motherboards. It is reading and writing at about 2100. I highly recommend this as a solution for an older machine or for use in any machine for that matter. I wish I had two more hands so I could give it 4 thumbs up.

Very Fast!!!
3 of 3 found this helpful I just installed it around the first of March so I can't comment on the durability as far as how long it will last, but as far as how it appears to be made seems of quality. Now, as far as performance, it is extremely fast and seems to not have any glitches. I installed this in a desktop in my studio and so far it runs pro-tools very efficiently. The computer used to take anywhere from about 1-1/2 to 2 minutes to completely boot....now it is about 15-20 seconds. WOW.
