Great album. A great first taste of a great band.
'Mad World' is of course the standout, but 'The Hurting'also showcases some terrific songwriting, and wonderful, sparse electronica - classic early '80s, but also doesn't sound dated. One of the terrific things about TFF is how different each album is, and how masterful Roland Orzabal's songwriting is. And there's Curt Smith's voice (and Roland's), some great bass lines etc. Well worth a trip back in time!
