It fixed my issue

I have a G&L LB-100 bass with a Swamp Ash body and a Maple fretboard. I purchased the bass because it is very light weight about 7.09 lbs/ 3.58 Kilos. I had to use flatwound strings and it was still very loud and unpleasant to listen to. I removed the stock pickup and installed a Dimarzio Area P, it worked out great! It sounds good and has a lower output. I am now playing the same bass with GHS roundwound boomers. For my particular issue they have worked out great.
