As per the enclosed instruction gave the packaged grains (two thirds of) a glass of fresh (commercial) goat milk. 24 hours later had our first half-glass of thick, delicious kefir. Have the second (full) glass brewing as I write this. 1L commercial kefir ~$15. 1L goat milk $6. Way ahead. Thank you olongkar.

Light, easy to assemble and looks great.
It is really easy to assemble and apart for the cable tidy requires no tools. The only bit that is a little tricky is the back cable tidy. The clamps could have been better designed. But then it is not load bearing and we finally got it. And we are not particularly handy. It is also quite attractive and very easy to clean compared to a closed cabinet. Although it is comprised of 3 pieces of glass it is fairly light and sturdy. I think this is a super TV stand.

Did not last long.
Worked well for a while and then failed to spark every time. A pity as it was quite an attractive and easy to use product.
