6 Volt automotive Voltage Regulator
Just got my 6 volt Negative Ground VW Generator homemade voltage regulator working on the car today. Worka!

40 Watt may be too much wattage for delicate work.
I have used many soldering Irons and this one is working as expected. Tip is excellent. Warm up time is very slow set to medium heat however turning up the heat it warms quickly however there is no protection against it overheating and burning off the tin the thin coating of solder that is necessary for a tip to actually solder. Good not Great Iron. Plenty of power probabably better to get the 30W iron for fine circuit board work.

Excellent Choice
Used these in building a Generator Voltage Regulator for my car, I only have part of it finished but they are performing correctly.
