Works great outside.
The package including the mounting pole is a real good deal.
First, the bad part: The remote rotation to adjust is is nice, but you need to have a line of sight on it to know where it's pointing. It would be nice if in future models they can add a display on the screen that tells you which degree it's facing. I don't plan on using this feature from inside.
Assembly is easy (you'll need a Phillips screw driver). You can figure out how to put it together without even looking at the manual.
For installing it comes with bolts, so you'll need a wrench if you're using the included hardware. I opted on other screws that were long to provide extra stability.
Reception is great. I'm about 40 miles from the Chicago, and recommend this for this distance. The little flat indoor window one worked for me, but not as well, and some channels came in spotty or or would lose signal completely some days. It picks up all the main players in the OTA TV market with no problem. The only spotty times I get are on the smaller channels which probably have weaker broadcasting power.
Before it was mounted on the roof I still got 20 some channels inside pointing through half of the house, and 40-50 with it pointing out my bedroom window. Height is key for better distance.
Note that whatever the range these antennas boast is BS, no mater which model/type. This antenna works great, but there's no way in hell it's picking up channels 150 miles out. I didn't expect it to, though.

Good product (duh, It's Noctua).
This stuff performs very well, though the advertising is slightly misleading. It claims to not need any set time, which is true, however you will notice higher than average temperatures at first until it sets while running a bit. I would still recommend if you have the time to let it set first anyway.

Garbage
Pairs but won't connect to vehicle computer. Further research showed these don't work for vehicles older than 2008. Better to spend a few extra bucks on a better product than to but this piece of s**t.
