How to destroy fertile eggs and waste your money
1 of 1 found this helpful This item was non-functioning on arrival as the motor had been badly handled and didn't work because of poor quality control. The manufacturer is fully aware that the lower level doesn't maintain temperature. They say an error of 5 degrees is acceptable. It's not. This kills the eggs. At $45 a dozen for the type of eggs we get, it more than doubled the cost of the incubator in lost eggs. It would need to be totally re-engineered with extra fans to distribute the heat and LONGER wires. All they have done has taken a single level incubator that may have been successful and just put multi tiers on it without considering whether it worked. The seller has just run a stall job on us - pretending that they were talking to the supplier, until time ran out. Haven't heard from them since. DON'T BUY THIS UNIT. I am back to using my 30 egger unit. I'd buy four of these over the BIG DUD! Even the turning arm is made from the softest plastic so it will wear out. Be warned. Don't waste your money. BTW one of their excuses was that because when I ordered it, it was winter in Australia (and I live in Cairns) maybe I should use a thermal blanket or surround it with the foam packaging it came in! That's professional, isn't it? It's quite obvious they don't know where Cairns is. At 17 degrees off the equator we hardly need to warm anything.
