Good quality hinge, but I needed to tweek the fitting
Hinges didn't quite fit my existing holes and I had to tweek the fitting. I needed to drill new holes and bog up old ones. Not ideal, but my toilet seat is specific for my type of toilet and not easy to replace, otherwise I would have just bought a whole new one.

Yes! It's waterproof.
The case is indeed waterproof & very durable.
It is a little bulky for everyday use, but I use it when I am on the boat or going to the beach & will use it when I go skiing. It provides the extra protection I need for these occasions.
