Hell's Angels: The Life And Times of Sonny Barger
For the first time, we get to hear the "other side" of the story, and from the person in a postion to know. Since 1948, newspapers and TV have given their "version" (as has law enforcement") to the public. Don't expect to find tabloid material or confessionals. The author gives a sketch of his life, both before and after the Hells Angels and gives the generic history of the Club. Anecdotal, humorous, straight forward and myth busting. Highly recommended as the FIRST book one should read about Hells Angels.

    Just me and My Dad
Bought these for my two (now grown sons) because we used to read them each night. They now have kids of their own, and perhpas a second generation can enjoy them.

Read This Novel and See Why Morrison Won The Pulizter
Blending historical fiction with supernatural elements, "Beloved" is a haunting, tragic tale. Morrison's chracterizations are what make the story do prominent, and rivals those of another Puylitzer winner, William Faulkner. This has the period appeal of "Gone With The Wind", and all the intensity of "The Color Purple". Already on almost everyone's list of "Top 100 Greatest Novels", "Beloved" will, in years to come, be looked upon with the same reverence and awe as we today look upon Steinbeck, Hemingway, Dickens or any number of great writers.
