I had purchased 2 of these pumps in preparation for the 2019 - 20 fire season. They where destined to be a back up pump and a spare for the existing pumps on site. My property was impacted by the green wattle creek fire in DEC 2019. These 2 pumps where commisioned prior to the fire and where also used in the defence against the fire front. Both pumps worked as designed. Yes they are a cheap chinese pump you pay for what u get ! They are good value for money and a great plan B option.They are more than adequate for the task. I actually ran 1 of them dry twice during the fire front when i emptied the tanks they where feeding off. The pump section was very hot and steaming due to no water flow. I refilled the pump connected it to a tank and it performed its task again with no damage to the pump. Even if it had failed it had saved property and lives worth many times its purchase price. Again value for money! Fittings and fixtures for the hydraulic connections are not great but are adequate for the task and are represenitive of the overall price point of the pump. Would i purchase again? Yes i intend to purchase another 4 for this upcoming fire season. I am realistic that i am buying to a price point and am not displeased by the pumps performance, after all they helped save my property.
