Favourite Movie
I love this movie for many reasons...and will watch it every now and then to get the same fix.
The background music is warm hearted, French themed and so romantic with that sense of Europe, and the promise of joy and comfort. Also a mix of wow.
The setting fills my heart with joy...the beautiful house, every corner a delight, the beach, the city scenes, the Grand Colbert, all of it wonderful.
The characters are likeable and all interesting, funny and enjoyable.
The story is satisfying and puts a smile on my face. Working out their issues and coming to a happy ending in an engaging, and in some ways educational way. I wish there was a long version with all the deleted scenes left in. Love Jack and Diane and their chemistry, their different personalities and foibles. It's always a comfort and joy.
