Epic Story
I first read this book in my teens (early 90's). I read it once more over 10-15 years ago. I could not locate a copy at my local library, so I found this copy on ebay and snagged it. This book is even better than I remembered it being. While the copy I purchased has a romance novel-type of illustration on the cover, and there are romances, this is a epic story spanning 3 generations of the Carlyon family in the Australian Outback. Their love of the land, the austerity and danger of the land they so love turning deadly but also providing their fortune, the sons of the father going to war, first WW1 then WW2, this is just an amazing story and written with such vivid descriptions of geography, inset into real history, and with great compassion and emotion. This book is a treasure and I highly recommend!

Nice and Sturdy
This is a very nice napkin holder, very weighty and sturdy, modern and attractive, especially for such a low price!

Amazing
This is now one of my favorite albums; it has been on heavy rotation since I received it last month. EVERY single track on the album is great, and the more you listen, the more texture and brilliance is revealed, both musically and with regard to lyrics. This album blends blues and a bit of a country vibe without truly fitting into either genre. Chris Whitley's vocals are also uniquely beautiful. Highly recommend this for anyone's collection.
