Sorcerer (DVD) William Friedkin's Wages of Fear remake

Great remake of The Wages of Fear

Friedkin's direction is outstanding and the backstories of the major characters give them depth. Steve McQueen was originally cast as the lead, but dropped out and Roy Schieder replaced him in what can inly be called a bit of serendipity. Schieder is excellent and I can't imagine anyone else in the role. All in all a taut and exciting thriller.
