Beyer's Best Bang-for-the-Buck Ever!
Detailed from top-to-bottom, expansive soundstage, well extended at the treble and bass extremes, clear midrange. Technically proficient but above all: eminently and faithfully musical.
I have previously owned the DT1350, DT880 (2003), DT770 Pro, DT880 Premium (48, 250 and 600 ohm), DT990 Pro (600 ohm), Tesla 1.1 and the Amirons are by-far-and-away my favorites.

Air Motion Transfer RULES!
Best sounding headphones I have ever heard: detailed, spacious with excellent tone and timbre.
Quite heavy though and can get uncomfortable during long listening sessions.
At 42 ohms|87 dB/1mW they are not the easiest to drive, either, so make sure your amp has ample power.

Disappointing
This unit runs hot, runs loud [transformer hum] and has no on/off switch. I have owned better for less money.
