One of the best TV series ever!
Still one of the best TV series ever developed. My husband actually spent some time at China Beach and describes this show as accurate. Great acting in superbly written roles.

Revies of move Home Front
Great little story, little known and interesting history about WWII on the Gulf Coast, great Louisiana setting. Lots of local color. Tim Curry exceptional as the imbibing Catholic priest. Smuggling Chinese immigrants, shrimpers, German gypsies, German prisoners of war, Cajun dance hall customs to mention a few of the subjects touched. Might not have picked Tatum O'Neal if I were casting, but she was okay. Just not a real Cajun-looking woman. Did you know oil tankers were blown up right off the Louisiana coast during WWII. Ever seen a turtle with a Nazi cross carved on it's back? A simply told, but satisfying story of one woman's struggle in a small town. Made me smile.
