Eels - Useless Trinkets - Far from It !
1 of 1 found this helpful If you bought the 'Meet the Eels' album this album should be bought along with it, as it stands alongside as a worthy addition to the Eels back catalogue, not just as a reminder or to make you aware of some of the B sides, soundtracks or rarities that you may have missed but every bit as essential as any of the previous 8 Eels albums. Okay so it contains a number of songs remixed by E slightly, but as a fan it's great to hear them carved and created as you know them and then hear them stripped back down and played in a different way altogether to give you almost a whole new understanding of the song. Alongside the 50 audio tracks you also get a 6 track DVD from Eels performance at the Lollapalooza music festival in 2006. Before I bought the album I was doing so mainly as a completist and didn't want a gap in the back catalogue, after listening to it however I have to say this will definitely be an album coming off my CD shelf on a regular basis and am sure I'll be discovering more gems within it with each subsequent listen.

Great compilation
Fabulous compilation. I bought this primarily for a couple of tracks I didn't have (The Orb and Jesus Jones v Aphex Twin) as well as having the Orbital track already which I love. However this opened my eyes up further and have since bought Polygon Window and The Black Dog albums. Great compilation, highly recommended.

Beautiful Wedding Anniversary gift
I bought this for my wife for our 6th Wedding Anniversary as the theme for that is Iron, it looks beautiful, well made and whilst she's not seen it yet I'm sure she'll appreciate it - definetly a lot more than an iron & much safer choice for me too!
